Media Wall/feature Wall Terms and Conditions



  1. Scope of Work
    The media wall/Feature Wall will be designed, supplied, and installed by Tyneside Home Entertainment in accordance with the agreed-upon specifications. Any variations or additional requests beyond the original scope of work may incur extra charges.
  2. Design Approval
    The customer must approve the final design of the media wall/Feature Wall and any additions to an existing design/structure before any production or installation begins. Any alterations or changes after approval may result in additional costs and extended lead times.
  3. Materials and Equipment
    All materials used for the construction of the media wall/feature wall will be sourced by Tyneside Home Entertainment from approved suppliers unless otherwise specified.
  4. Installation
    Installation of the media wall/feature wall will take place on the scheduled date, subject to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Any delay caused by the customer (e.g., lack of access to premises or site preparation) may lead to rescheduling and additional charges.
  5. Payment Terms
    A non refundable deposit will be required upon acceptance of the quotation – the deposit amount will be specified prior to acceptance of the quote. The remaining balance is due immediately upon completion of installation.
  6. Lead Time
    The estimated timeline for completion of the media wall/feature wall build will be provided at the time of the agreement. Delays due to factors outside of our control (e.g., shipping delays, technical issues) will be communicated as soon as possible.
  7. Warranty
    The Installer warrants that the installation services will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner. A warranty is provided for the media wall’s workmanship. This warranty does not cover damages caused by misuse, negligence, or force majeure. Any defects in workmanship MUST be reported within 90 days of installation for corrective action. The workmanship warranty includes timber framework, plastered finish, cabinetry, skirting board and coving.
  8. Cancellation
    If the customer decides to cancel the project once any 3D plans have been created and received, and/or the work has begun they will be liable for costs incurred up to that point. Any deposits paid are non refundable. Cancellation must be received via email.
  9. Intellectual Property
    Any designs or proprietary systems created for the media wall/feature wall remain the intellectual property of Tyneside Home Entertainment, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
  10. Force Majeure
    Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations under this agreement due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to acts of God, government restrictions, or natural disasters.
  11. Dispute Resolution
    In the event of a dispute, details of the dispute must be notified to Tyneside Home Entertainment via email. If a resolution cannot be agreed upon, the parties agree to then attempt resolution through mediation. If the dispute cannot be resolved through mediation, it will be settled in accordance with the laws of Great Britain & Northern Ireland.


12. Acknowledgement

  By agreeing to proceed with the quoted installation, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

Audio/Visual (A/V) Equipment Installation Terms and Conditions



1. Acceptance of Terms

By scheduling or authorising the installation of audio/visual (A/V) equipment, you (the “Client”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all A/V equipment installation services provided by Tyneside Home Entertainment (“Installer”).


2. Scope of Services

The installation services may include, but are not limited to:

·      Mounting of televisions, speakers, and projectors

·      Installation of audio/video receivers, soundbars, and other A/V components

·      Wiring, cable management, and system integration

·      Configuration and calibration of equipment for optimal performance

The scope of all individual installations will be clearly outlined in advance of work being undertaken. Any services outside the agreed scope may incur additional fees.


3. Client Responsibilities

• Site Preparation: The Client is responsible for ensuring that the installation area is ready and accessible, with a clear working area.

• Permits and Approvals: The Client must obtain any necessary permits, approvals, or permissions (e.g., from landlords, homeowners’ associations, or building management).

• Accurate Information: The Client must provide accurate information regarding equipment placement, existing infrastructure, and any specific preferences.


4. Equipment and Materials

• Client-Owned Equipment: The Installer is not responsible for defects, malfunctions, or warranty claims related to equipment supplied by the Client.

• Company-Supplied Equipment: Any equipment provided by the Installer will be subject to the manufacturer’s warranty, if applicable. Ownership of such equipment passes to the Client upon full payment along with all applicable warranties.


5. Installation Limitations

The Installer will take reasonable precautions to avoid damage during installation; however, the following limitations apply:

• Structural Issues: The Installer is not liable for damage resulting from pre-existing structural issues, such as weak walls, faulty wiring, or hidden obstructions.

• Hidden Conditions: Installation may be limited by hidden conditions (e.g., pipes, electrical wiring, or studs) that are not visible or disclosed by the Client.

• Third-Party Services: The Installer is not responsible for delays or issues caused by third-party service providers.


6. Service Warranty

• Workmanship Warranty: The Installer warrants that the installation services will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner. Any defects in workmanship MUST be reported within 7 days of installation for corrective action.

• Exclusions: This warranty does not cover issues caused by misuse, unauthorised modifications, or subsequent alterations to the installed equipment.


7. Payment Terms

• Payment Schedule: Payment terms will be agreed upon prior to the installation. Full payment will be required immediately upon completion unless otherwise specified.

• Late Payments: Late payments may incur additional fees or interest as permitted by law.

• Cancellations and Rescheduling: Cancellations or rescheduling must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance to avoid potential cancellation fees.


8. Termination of Services

The Installer reserves the right to terminate services if the Client breaches these Terms and Conditions, fails to make payment, or creates an unsafe work environment.


9. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes shall be resolved through mediation, arbitration, or legal proceedings as applicable.


10. Amendments

The Installer reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions. The latest version will be made available upon request.


11. Acknowledgement

By agreeing to proceed with the quoted installation, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
